Taking Chances
I, for one, hope that Obama's policy toward Pakistan will respect Pakistan's territorial integrity. I would understand if U. S. military forces had Osama bin Laden in its sights, and took advantage, but for any target short of the leader of the terrorists, any action in Pakistan should be undertaken with Pakistan's full knowledge and cooperation. Obama has acknowledged that American security depends in part of stability in Pakistan, and Pakistan's cooperation in the war against terrorists. Let's hope he meant it, and has the wisdom to take the right path.
