Go to 44: The Obama Presidency

- Go to John McCain's latest attempt to link Barack Obama to extremism
Well said, and well written.
It's been my observation that the McCain campaign has sought only to drive a thick wedge into any tiny crack they can find - with no regard to legitimacy. The really sad part is that in any other arena, any number of people would have grounds to file defamation of character lawsuits.
As far as proving where Obama's true allegiance is, I think we've seen enough turning of the other cheek to make an educated guess. McCain/Palin, however, have capitalized on divisiveness, effectively making Obama's job that much harder should he take office.

What is most noteworthy about Senator McCains approach is that he waste his precious time attacking Senator Obama's associations. It deprives him of getting his message out and makes him appear rather parochial. The voters wish to know what his proposals are, hence what are his policies going to be. This approach not only shortchanges him, it shortchanges the electorate.
