Auslander
A very tricky situation! On the one hand, I feel for that guy. Goethe fell in love with a very young woman such as yourself when he was 82, was rebuffed and wrote a great poem after that. Of course, he wasn't off his rocker! This guy obviously is, and he should not be driving, endangering no just himself but others! For that reason I think you should call the police...As far as going over there is concerned, I don't think you've got to fear too much for your dignity, 'cause I have the impression you can handle yourself...

Auslander, So often old men are that way.  They do not want to be alone.  They badly want a woman to take care of them.  When I was still working (nurse) old men patients that had been living alone before their hospitalizations were always trying to get me to marry them, live with them, let them come live with me, whatever.  I think it was because I have smile wrinkles instead of frowny face.  LOL

Re:
Meine Liebe vogue, I didn't see it quite that way, but now that you mention it, maybe I should have a word with my Mann about going to visit in Florida. Mind another long time guest? LOL

OMG auslander, be careful. The poor guy isn't in his right mind, but I can feel that this situation is becoming very uncomfortable for you. And yes, I hate to say this, but in view of the fact that he could kill himself and perhaps an innocent child that's in his way if he continues driving, I would alert the police.Besides all this: what's wrong with a winter in Florida? Have a word with the Mann and come visit.

Thanks sam. Freeman came back this morning and I told that I was going to call the police if I see him again driving. I don't think he took me seriously. Not trying to kiss me today, though.LOL

I feel for you in this situation! My big concern and I share it with you is that someone or even Freeman is going to get hurt with him behind the wheel. I just keep him in my prayers. Nothing is easy in this situation! I thought it was cute he is smitten with you! I don't blame you for pulling back and trying to set him straight, unfortunately he probably will not remember any of it! I think maybe telling his case worker might be a good idea since they seem to be the only ones left who can get him into a facility for his benefit! I hope you have a great day!  Giant!!! sam
