well done and now comes the tough part rewiting
I do each part at least ten times and now an editor is working on my Tom even after all I did. I do pray the publisher finds your work is just what they need.

How awkward that can be, reading others' raw work.
Very best on that!

Women sacrifice so much more for the words and writing time. So much
more, which to me, makes female writing much more valuable as I know the cost.

May it be nothing short of compelling.

I enter that tunnel and exit dazed............

Like babysitting my grandson this week. Less than three months old. He slept the first day as he didn't know me and didn'te really want to. A tunnel. When his daddy came home and spoke to him, he was still in his emotional tunnel and did't recognize him for a minute or two, then huge smile.

I come out grumpy and unwillingly, as I enjoy the tunnel. I disengaged too much from life sometimes, but LOVE it. Lately, it ain't been happenin', so I will let you be the queen of tunnels and hope that you reign supreme...................

My brain is so fuzzy this morning my nose is stuffed up...
So, apoligies if this doesn't make sense.  I thought of you Sunday while I was at a meeting at the library - two authors were talking about the publishing process and what the work involves (living in your head, having no idea what's going on in the real world, etc.) and they describe exactly things you blog about, similar experiences to mine. I'm beginning to think June's right -- there is a "writing personality."

Yes, compelling is what you need.  I've got about three books I'm trying to read that definitely are not as compelling as I thought they were going to be.  But, yours  will not be one of those.

Writers are a strange lot eh Azur?
I think that about my neighbours too...I wonder if they realize that I do do something other than wander back and forth at odd hours.  Good for you for finishing the first draft and it is emotionally draining but so so fulfilling!  The rewrites are so much harder than the first draft...at least that's what I found.
