Re:
Apologies for the $0's. They somehow creep up when I'm posting through Google Chrome, and want to start a new paragraph.

Hi, $0$0 $0 $0Good piece. But...$0 $0$0 $0 $0You say that the world like the US but hates its citizens. I would like to offer the opposite for your consideration, as an outsider, and a representative of the non-US citizenry of the world. Rest assured, we love the American people. We have friends across the depth and breadth of your country. It is the state and its policies that frustrate and irritate us.$0 $0$0 $0 $0Being ungrateful is one thing (and you're right about that), but I think the figures from the poll are talking about something larger than just amenities at home. It is about the direction the country is taking. A crisis at home is the credit-crunch (a direct result of the corporations misleading needy consumers), and bad publicity abroad (foreign policy and missions over the last 8 years haven't exactly been honey and sweet potatoes - not to take anything away from men who genuinely lay their lives for a purpose, noble to them).$0
