Nice poem, but got thrown off by "_'s". I presume it means a pause, but prefer to find in a well-consrtucted poem (which this is) my own rhythmn and pauses. Sometimes less is more...

This brings such memories of my dear little grandma. Because of a stroke, she could not speak or care for herself, but oh those blue eyes. They said it all.
