remember when you swang really high as a kid
and higher and higher
and then
and then
you
let
go
it never was a much fun as I thought it was going to be..
but I had to go eat watermelon with my cousins 
I loved this poem of yours..

thank you for all the positive feedback Mermaid. Letting Go for me came from a place of surrender and acceptance. It just took me a long time to get there

Thank you Troosha. Yes it comes from a place of surrender and acceptance. It just took me a long time to get there. I wrote this one back in early 2007 during a very hard place in my life.

I think “letting go”- synonymous (at least for me) with surrender, begins with the simple act of willingness. We tend to forget this step… Another great write and read.
