When you have given a piece of your heart to someone
and they walk away from you, taking that piece of your heart with them--that's heart-break: You, watching part of your self walking away.
Imagine calling that part of your self back to you, imagine that piece of your heart fitting back where it belongs, warm and cherished... Imagine sending back any pieces of the one you loved, any pieces of their heart that are now only obstructions to your healing... They can kiss goodbye in passing, and let everyone become whole again.
Then, when you have a whole heart, and love yourself regardless of who does or does not love you, you'll be ready for loving someone else again.

Of course you’ll fall in love again – all in good time. Right now you’re grieving the loss of a love and that in itself is a process that one must simply go through and endure. As the days pass the sting of it all will diminish.

Yes love can definitely happen again!
And it will! Don't worry, the old cliche time is a great healer is also very true. I look back at people I broke my heart over and think what a lucky escape I had...but I also remember the feelings of devastation and pain. You WILL get over it, I promise!
