And, Palin's wardrobe was given to her and will be donated or sold and the proceeds donated to charities.....if she hadn't had the wardrobe, she would have been vilified for dressing like a hick....it's the "no win" mentality of the E/W coast press....Obama's $2million victory celebration party plans makes her wardrobe a silly thing to even mention, don't ya think?  I don't think that party is something that can be donated to charity......  Whatever, I didn't mean to offend anyone with my comment....I just am very concerned with anything but complete "up front" openenss about everything....Rev. Wright, college years, etc.....not because I think he's a Muslim, not because I think he's a terrorist in disguise, etc....but because I don't understand why he sat there for 20 years listening to the nut Wright and says he didn't hear anything he said that was anti-American or anti-White, when we all did....and I don't understand why he won't release his college info....and I've seen a video of his speech at an ACORN meeting saying he'll involve them in his adminstration from the gitgo and I don't like ACORN ....so, I'm not just being willy-nilly with my feelings....I am genuinely concerned for specific reasons.....

The Snopes report doesn't say the suit isn't real.....I checked that before I wrote my comment.  Again, my beef is not the whole Muslim thing....and I didn't even know about this attorney's suit; I was intrigued that he wouldn't produce his college records and that the mainstream media wasn't going after it.  I remember when the college records of Bush and Gore were a major deal for the media, comparing grade point averages, etc....I'm just fascinated that this refusal to produce info on his college years, his thesis, etc. isn't interesting to folks.  Again....it looks like this man is going to be our next President and I will support him as such....I just would feel more comfortable if he were upfront about everything about his past....I think he owes the voting public that much.  If the press paid as much attention to him as they do to Palin's wardrobe (and tried to get the facts straight on him, much less on her....which they don't----and don't even bait me on this because you don't want to read the response that would turn into a post) it would be very comforting.

You know, this is all becoming a prelude to something much more destructive

We have a left wing lashing out at the right wing with lies, inuendo and personal attacks and then crying up a storm when the right does it to them.

We have a right wing lashing out at the left wing with lies, inuendo and personal attacks and then crying up a storm when the left does it to them.

I'm about sick of both sides not taking responsibility for the behaviors of both sides.  This is why America is long over.  People refuse to step back and look at this race for what it really is.

If Obama wins, will we have crazy right-wing militia marching through the streets?  If McCain wins, will we have crazy left-wing zealots doing the same?

When a girl gets attacked at an ATM for expressing her freedom of speech, and I really don't care which side of the political fence she's on, it absolutely makes me sick.  When volunteers are harrassed and followed from their headquarters to their cars by militant wackos, and again, I really don't care which side of the political fence they're on, it's an indication that people have completely lost all sense of reality.

So ultimately, what does this You-Tube "documentary" (and I use the term loosely) accomplish, other than to heighten the already too-severe unrest among a people that have lost control of themselves?

Honestly!

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthcertificate.asp

Is she willing to say, "Oh, that doesn't matter" about everything in the Constitution just because it seems to her to be some sticky little point that a bunch of "jerks" are raising a stink about to keep someone out of office?

No, Krisles - but if the sticky little point that these jerks are raising is an outright lie (see above SNOPES report), then who is diddling with the Constitution, after all?  To say that Obama was deceptive and conniving because he purportedly witheld something - when he didn't- is deceptive and conniving of the Republican operatives, in my mind.

This whole campaign is turning into a nasty fight and what's being lost in all the crazy accusations (Sara Palin's Solid Gold wardrobe, anyone?) are the REAL IMEDIATE issues.  It's the economy/our security, folks!

Why haven't we heard about this before?  Oh! I forgot.....it would be news and it's about Obama!  But, even on Fox?  Too bad we couldn't see it without all the "extra" stuff which does bring comments like the previous one - and I can understand why - and just see the video about the suit itself. I'm afraid that Gapcohen isn't considering that we should all want a President who isn't hiding important information about himself....that's the point....we live under a Constitution, it binds us under laws.  Is she willing to say, "Oh, that doesn't matter" about everything in the Constitution just because it seems to her to be some sticky little point that a bunch of "jerks" are raising a stink about to keep someone out of office?  We don't individually get to decide which little point in the Constitution doesn't matter....that's what we have the Supreme Court for (supposedly).  It would be so simple for any honest and forthright individual....which we should want our leader to be...to clear this matter up.  The problem for those of us for which this is a problem is that if he is false about this....what else is he false, deceptive, conniving, etc., about.  I've never had the "Muslim" fear.....actually, my fears are unnamed....they are the fears that are just there because of this very thing...what is he hiding and the very fact that he hides simple things makes me wonder what his true agenda is.  Even scarier is the way so many are truly drinking Kool-Aid.

Cunning - your mother was probably a DAR!  As a second generation American (my Grandfather was Russian), I'm more sensitive to this "hidden agenda" "Obama's a Muslim and He's Taking Us All Down" direction a group of ultra-conservatives are desperately heading in.  If the Repub. nominee wasn't such a jerk and his VP nom such a nincompoop, I'd have considered that party.  What ever happened to arguing against Obama re: his inexperience?  Now, you've got to add paranoia to the mix?  For those who believe that Obama as Pres. will turn the US into a Muslim Nation, all I can say is; the US doesn't live under Royal rule.  We don't suffer under dictatorship.  This is a Democracy and our Pres. doesn't have absolute power.  When Kennedy was president, we didn't, as a nation, start going to High Mass!! This approach doesn't work with me!  Happy to hear that your great-great-great Grandparents were on the Mayflower, Cunning!
