Vogue
When I was in the “business world” the colour I chose to wear in the morning was entirely dictated but what kind of day I had ahead of me or the temperament of the clients I was scheduled to see. And, I confess, whether or not a showed some leg, was also influenced by who I might see that day.  Shameful, perhaps, but I knew certain clients preferred me to look quite feminine (if not sexy) while others preferred the all business, no play look.  Oh, and that navy blue suit – it always came out on those days when I needed to close a deal.

Hi, Vogue.  Because I also work from home, I usually choose based on comfort, weather and the way I'm feeling about my body on a particular day.  For example - today, it's windy and cold outside, so I grabbed my nubby sweater-shirt. I'm also feeling a bit chubby, so I settled on my "fat" pants.  Not the greatest combo, but comfortable and suitable for the day!  Since I buy clothes in only the colors I like, color has no bearing on what I wear each day.  Mal

For years I coudln't see anything in green without almost pucking on it! the reason: I have, like naut, it seems, green eyes and so, my mom would made me wear green cloths ALL THE TIME! And what better colour than bright orange to go with bright green? Yek!!!!! Mind you, it was the 70s.

Now, I can wear it, a bit. It is the colour of hope afterall (or of jalousy, if you believe Disney. Ever wonder why all the nasty charactes in Disney have green eyes?).LOL

I have to admit to dressing to suit whatever bag I'm carrying my friend!
of course I do have my fave colours but tend to stick to mainstream for the office - after hours anything goes.  I also have to confess I am a definite 'green' fan as well as any bright colours summer or winter........ Although I am into the colour influence thing I believe my mood only to be influenced by myself!  Many blessings and thanks

So you're a 'greenie' too? I have a green cashmere sweater that makes my green eyes light up like green traffic lights! But I don't often wear in public - I don't want to get arrested for causing accidents, lol.

However, I don't think about colours or what I wear much. Since I work out of my house, I can wear what I want or what's lying around - shorts and a white polo shirt is sort of my 'summer uniform', jeans and whatever in winter. I wear suits only for certain meetings in other people's offices, mostly grey. And even then I don't always bother with socks, which should really be worn only when you work out...

Not trivial at all

Ahhh, looks like a simple question... but one that proded me to go through introspection for the answer.... which led me to more questions about myself... I realized, through your post, that there are somethings about myself that I don't really know... actually the answer for me, on the reason of choosing what color to wear on a particular day is simple- both, sometimes it's my mood, sometimes to bribe destiny, and sometimes, what's clean and handy... now there goes the complication... if i cannot give you a categorical answer, what kind of person am I? Hmmmm... I'm beginning to think that my husband is right... one that has multiple personality...

I will think about this all night long...
