Hello Carl, I enjoyed the poem and if I resided in NJ I would vote for you myself. Best wishes

Re:
Dear Marta,

Thank you for your encouragement.  The poem itself was a catharsis of the hurt that people assume I do not feel because I readily forgive and don't seek to control, because my pity is stronger than my love.  All that aside, my next step is to do what I have been feeling very strongly called to do: run for the Senate from New Jersey, albeit as a last-minute, write-in candidate, to hopefully be given the chance to fix our economy.  If any of your New Jersey friends want to vote for me they should use my full name, Carl Peter Klapper, since there is at least one other Carl Klapper in the state.  Also, I reside in Edison, if they need that information for the ballot.

BTW, your poem is very lovely, especially after editing

Love,
Carl Peter

((((( Carl))))))))  Such a beautiful lament... Life is not fair sweetie but we can still be true to ourselves and our emotions.  You are the better person for having tried, for having been there for her even if she did not appreciated it.  You are the winner not the loser, because you  loved with a sincere heart and love is never a loss.  You will be OK and someday will find the one which completes you.  For now your talent should be your prize and your gift.  TAke care of you my friend and thank you so much for your honest critique of my poem.  I truly, from the bottom of my heart appreciated it.  xoxo
