Transcendental_Child - I see them stop into your blog and I feel like

warning you what to expect from some of them.

But then, I tell myself to stay out of it and don't cause trouble. It has to be more than a little ironic that such anger and hatred is so obvious in their words when they claim to be proponents of a message of love etc. I always get a kick out of when they start lying through their teeth in an effort to prove that atheists cannot be trusted. Another hilarious aspect to their actions is that each and every last one of them will claim a unique insight and self directed path as they spew cookie cutter beliefs that are virtually identical to the ones who have come before. They are funny people.

Gomes...
I was asking myself that same question the other day. I was even feeling guilty that I am making few ha'pennies a day from these angry people. I do not go to their blogs... because I do not read fiction.

Re: OTA. - learning about and attempting to understand different perspectives
Gome,
I agree that sometimes the comment pages of this section of Blogit can get down right mean at times. I will even agree that some posts are an insult to the souls that take the time to read them when they are told they are ignorant , demented or lacking in some other way if they don't believe what they read. How judgemental.. how awful.. why would anyone want to be a part of such a stiff way of existing. Perhaps it is the nature of being human to think we are right and want everyone to see it our way.. or the highway? I have no answer.. Peace, ~ OTA

Re: believe what you want, but say it in a way that is not insulting or ...

muley12 - I have a standard answer I use when a request premised on the theme of not being insulting is made of me . . . "You first"

Where I cannot tell by your comment if the word "you" is meant to address me specifically or is speaking of you in general, the "you" in "you first" speaks to absolutely everyone.

OTA. - learning about and attempting to understand different perspectives

can be one of the biggest plusses of a forum such as this.

We have the opportunity in an anonymous setting to learn how others think, or how they have come to believe what they do. But what do so many people in this category do instead? . . . they tell others how to think and believe, assess why others think and believe certain things and why others must believe as they do.

Re: working for Satan? Hell, he's far too intelligent for that . . .
Xeno-x - so basically what you are saying is that Satan will only enlist those who believe in his existence to do his bidding.

I just posted on that -- he is shrewd.  His servants would not appear evil -- they would appear as good Christians.
