Have to say, breakfast at midnight doesn't appeal too much! Not exactly a midnight feast of your childhood, is it? Thinking of you both.

I admire people who can crochet and knit and do all these fab things. Thanks for stopping by. Cold water doesn't do me any good either, but on the other hand the exercise does, so I will keep at it a little longer.

Re: crochet
I am just doing a simple have double crochet and a single crochet with one because it has to be "manly" and it is black and I did a 4 inch section of black and white 2 strand in the same pattern for part of it.  The other one I'm working on requires a knitting needle.  I loop a length and then take off 3 loops and and twist it and double crochet 3 times and at the end of that length single crochet the entire length  and then loop again.  The next one I'm going to do is two colored diamond shape connection with a double and triple crochet.  The pattern was on the skein of yarn I bought.

The years that I took care of my dad and had to spend so much time sitting with him, were the same years that most of my grandbabies were being born and I pieced baby quilts for each of them and added a lot of embroidery work on them.  That was fun.

What patterns do you do?  I am working on this Dino afgan for my grandsons birthday.  Then I have to work on Christmas decorations.  We  ( the family ) decided that we should exchange decorations each year instead of buying all those presents there's so many of us any more.
