As the Dems attack Palin you would think McCain would hit back.

Too above it all maybe. Maybe he's afraid of the Liberal media or maybe he doesn't want to be President either.

I saw an article in today’s paper that said McCain

has asked his supporters to temper their attacks on Obama.  The article said that at a town-hall rally on Friday, McCain took the microphone from a lady who had said Obama was an Arab and replied:  No, ma’am, he’s a decent family man”!  Later, another McCain supporter expressed fear at the prospect of an Obama presidency and McCain said Obama was:  a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States.”

Geez!  Is he campaigning for himself or for Obama?

The Simple Answer: John McCain is a horrible candidate.
I don't like saying it anymore than conservatives like hearing it, but this guy has been made famous by the partisan press for being the un-Republican; "crossing party lines" whenever possible, and I think he still believes that he can win over his old buddies at the New York Times by being Mr. Appeaser.  They threw Hillary freakin' Clinton under the bus, for cryin' out loud -- wake up John!

McCain is doing what he's always done.  He wants to be recognized as the Great Compromiser, but instead he's been portrayed as the Miserable Old Miser.

If it weren't for Mike Mother****ing Huckabee, we'd have Mitt Romney out there instead of Bob Dole Lite.  God save us all.

Well said.......I don't understand what he's waiting for....is he's afraid that he'll lose his famous temper and give people the idea he can't be trusted with the power?  I think we've seen small hints that if Obama is provoked he loses his cool and his temper might come out, too.....I think we all need to see what they are both really made of with the gloves off and get all the issues behind the accusations out.  It still fascinates me that we don't even know anything about Obama's college years.

I think and I hope that he draws the line on certain subjects because he thinks it will hurt his campaign. Also if he does get in office and it is looking iffy he is more than likely scared he will not be able to get any thing done threw congress if he crosses certain lines. lets hope that is what it is anyway. God bless
