- Go to How The Universe Looked From Here This Evening
However one perceives the source of it, we all seem to find inspiration in
the sky, the clouds and the light: the breath of the divine flowing into the heart and through the mind... going back to the root meaning of the word, 'inspiration.'

These pictures made me start humming the old hymn:
Now the day is over,
Night is drawing nigh,
Shadows of the evening
Steal across the sky.
Now the darkness gathers,
Stars begin to peep,
Birds, and beasts and flowers
Soon will be asleep.
Jesus, give the weary
Calm and sweet repose;
With Thy tenderest blessing
May mine eyelids close. Grant to little children
Visions bright of Thee;
Guard the sailors tossing
On the deep, blue sea.
Comfort those who suffer,
Watching late in pain;
Those who plan some evil
From their sin restrain.
Through the long night watches
May Thine angels spread
Their white wings above me,
Watching round my bed.
When the morning wakens,
Then may I arise
Pure, and fresh, and sinless
In Thy holy eyes.
Glory to the Father,
Glory to the Son,
And to Thee, blest Spirit,
While all ages run.

I came back to look at these again.. was thinking how they remind me of the waters edge at the beach. Seeing your's and Kent's comment was interesting.

Kent, I have had that thought, too--
Especially in the Southwest, looking at the grand march of massive clouds across the sky, flinging the light around among them and in great beams down to us on the ground--How could anyone live there and not see the Holy People in the sky?
