Re:

Sam444 - you know I do appreciate you... but the covenant of both the old and new testaments are damning and damaging. I know you feel the scriptures to be the unadulterated word of god... and if you isolate the good parts, it is easy to believe so. However, if we isolate the good parts... the Bible will be only about as thick as the phone book to my home town: population 1200.

For me the Old Testament is the old covenant. Lessons need to be observed from this portion of the Holy Bible for man will see just how awful he has been and continues to be. The stories contained in there are about the same types of incidents' today only different settings. One of the problems is religion is forced and conceived to be the way to eternal life when that is not the truth for me. It is about living as "Christ" did for me. There are people who live just and good lives that are not cleaving unto the Lord. I would never make a judgment as to whether they would have eternal life for they make and I do not. We don't know in my opinion. It is important to live the way that makes one comfortable. Those who are passing judgment will be severely judged themselves. I try to stay away from that and live in brotherly love.

Side bar: I started a new medication and if I don't make any sense I am just trying to say we need to respect each other and lose the judgment factor and respect opinions. I know you have always allowed to come state my opinion and I have done so in a respectful manner. I think we make humanity work as it should. I adore the heck out of you! ]  sam
