you see, Justi,
This is another reason why I closed the door on the Democrats and the left in general: when you disagree with them they resort to vicious name-calling, threats, and bullying. I'm tired of this childish behavior. I'm sure that there are many anti-McCain and anti-GOP blogs here on Blogit but that doesn't mean I have to go spamming on them. Everyone has a right to their opinion. What these so-called "tolerant" liberals fail to remember is that freedom of speech is part of the Constitution, but at the rate things are going, we might as well all have Chinese passports!

Anything that scares Xeno-x has to be on target.
You must be on to something, Justi.  Good job.

THIS IS WHAT SCARES ME -- ALL THE FOOLISHNESS YOU BELIEVE

and several commenters here, too.

way out stuff that has no basis in fact.

the scary thing is that so many people believe things like this.

this is what elected GW Bush -- thinking like I see here.

I can easily refute virtually of the statements made by you and some of your commenters.

this type of thinking results in a lot of non-credenced belief.

it hinders real progress

Pat-B
Thank you for your kind words. On the point of Bobby Kennedy. We are about to make a grave mistake because so many in this country do not understand that Al Qaeda is not the only factor in our enemy base in the Middle East. Any one of the Radical Muslim groups would take us out in a minute. They bombed and killed 217 soldiers who were in I believe Saudi as protection. They also took down a plane over Lockerbie Scotland and yes one of them killed Bobby Kennedy and is still in the states in jail. We want to forget all the others and chase a man who cannot be found until he comes out. If you have heard the threats from Iran you may know they yes They are our enemies. Look into the election of last December and check out what has happened to those people with a Muslim ruler now. If we don't elect McCain I fear for any semblance of the life we have known. I am not easily rattled or scared. Electing Obama  is a serious mistake.

@ Pat,
I don't want to take up Justi's space, but for once it's refreshing to see that voters can have opposite views yet discuss things amicably and for one common goal - the good of the nation.Glad to have made your acquaintance!

Re: why the dems gave Hillary Clinton the boot, etc...
NewYorker in Sicily -- It's beyond me that Hillary didn't get the nod. But it was voters who made the choide. You're right -- McCain is definitely an American hero. I respect his service to the nation, but GOP economic policies have spawned a world-wide recession. We can't survive another 4 years of that.

Justi, you clearly know a great deal about history -- I remember many of

the same things. I have to question one point though -- I don't believe Al Queda had anything to do with the death of Bobby Kennedy. I believe Osama Bin Laden formed his terrorist organization after the American CIA trained and worked with him to run the Russian army out of Afghanistan in the late 1980s or early '90s, long after the Kennedy assassination.

Like you, Justi, I, want to see again the America we were proud of, when this felt truly like the land of the free and the home of the brave. I don't ever remember feeling so unsafe or vulnerable from so many different angles. We all need to get behind whoever becomes our next Commander in Chief. We need to keep an eye on the laws they pass and amend, and we need contact our elected officials and let them know what we think -- they've all got email these days. As long as we are a strong republic whose leaders are elected by and follow the will of the people, I have to believe we'll be okay.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration of my comment. :)pat

Justi, dear........you did a great job with your response.
It was a question with a lot of trapdoors, and distractions.   Definately "Hall of Fame" level on the par with asking a man  "When did you stop beating your wife?"

You done good!!!

for Pat B,
Can you please then answer why the Dems gave Hillary Clinton the boot in favor of Obama, if they were so concerned about a budget surplus? Please be aware of the fact that I was a Dem for 23 years before the DNC trashed HC and tried to shove Obama down 18 million throats. I am now a registered Republican  - I do not recognize the party cum media loony bin known as the Democrats anymore. And before you ask, yes, it would have been hard for me to see HC up against McCain - I have always had loads of respect for this man.
