This line should be read to all middle children who wonder what was up with

their childhood...

~"I had to, because I was superfluous.  I held no necessary place, and had no title anymore. "~

It explains alot. Kuddos from one middle child to another..

Very interesting introspection
Like you I was the middle of three boys. I punished my older brother for the sin of being born before me. I wrote a little of it in "Albert and the Easter egg eating contest" and "I've got work to do". I'm sure you could relate.

Re: Taps
My brothers and I have a lot in common, but some differences.  I don't know how much I can attribute to birth order, but at times, I'll take any excuse.

Thanks for stopping by.

It is always great to see someone learning himself,  for that is what you have done, you are reading yourself as you could read a book and you are underlining the parts of your histofy , that you perceive as having had most influence in what you have become today.  To wonder what you would have become had you been the first born or the last born is a mute point for it can't happen , but know that not many can self examine themselves as well as you have just shown you are able to do  in this post .  Bravo!  Great post.

What an interesting post.  I think the reason I find it so interesting is because my hubby and I had four sons born 1960 - 1965.  Their birth order definitely helped to form their personalities and a lot of it I did not understand at the time.  It is interesting to hear them talk about things and feelings of the past.

Hello...
I like reading your stories as they show me parts of worlds that lay parallel to mine which of course is always comforting.  I would say that you are A+ genius regardless of blessing or damnation...Bit I still LOVE your name.  Thanks for being a blogger.
