Re: @ TAPS
NewYorker, Thank you for answering my questions.  I didn't think you would mind me asking.  You put a lot into your answer.

@ TAPS
A LOT has changed...at heart I'll always support HRC (even if her approval, which luckily never passed, to issue driver's licenses to illegal immigrants threw me completely) as she is my senator, but in August I became a registered Republican. Hillary Clinton being in or out of the race or putting up a front and stumping for Obama isn't the issue anymore - I was appalled by the vile treatment that both the DNC and MSM threw at her, and subsequently by the obnoxious vulgarity of Obama supporters who accuse Obama critics of being racist. I will not stand for this absurdity any longer ever if Hillary Clinton asks me personally to vote Obama (though we all have a pretty good feeling Bill won't be...). I do not identify neither with the candidate Obama nor with this party anymore, the party I voted for all my voting life. There are many issues that come to mind, but a complete neophyte who spent most of his 143-day Senate term running for POTUS who is in favor of infanticide, sex-ed in kindergarten, wants to "talk sense" into hardended terrorists, flip flops on FISA, and wants to open up Social Security to illegal immigrants (a slap in the face to both legal immigrants and naturalized citizens who waited years to become part of the system) are just some of the burning issues that made me run like the plague from this freak show. And of course even living abroad is an issue for me - the Dems want to come after the assets (however meager they may be) of Americans abroad because they see living abroad as a luxury, regardless of family and/or employment situations. There are of course issues on the GOP side that I cannot wholeheartedly agree with, but I can identify more with a party that takes stands on issues, however unpopular they may be, than with a party that promises the world to minorities just to get their votes, only to never lift a finger for them.

That's me now TAPS, in a nutshell.

NewYorker_in_Sicily, I am just curious.  When you were here before, weren't you for Hillary?  And, now, Hillary is for Obama, but you are not it seems.  In your opinion, is Hillary wrong to be supporting Obama and is she doing it just because he's Dem, and is that a good enough reason?
