- Go to More Autumn colors--these are HOT!
Rumored, these were close-ups in the same tree.
In New England, it's whole landscapes like this!

Naut,
keep in mind that if you aren't happy with your first selection, it should not be too hard to re-sell it, or even get trade-in credit at the camera store--something to ask about when you're shopping.
I asked about it at Staples, and was told they have a 2-year replace-for-any-reason policy for a few bucks more. Also, a 2-week free-trial period.

Wow! Ther are absolutely beautiful, much brighter and more colorful
than anything we get here when the leaves turn in southern Canada...they are better than a lot of Calendars I've seen.....

Gorgeous! They're a bit like our maples, who haven't started turning yet, at least not in our area. Once they do, I hope to take some shots, especially if by then I have been able to decide on what SLR to get, which turns out to be a terribly drawn out process - I'm noy usually so indecisive, I assure you...

Our sweetgums are just beginning to turn. They are my favorite of all autumn leaves--such a variety of bright colors, changing day by day by day. We have a certain street not far from here called Searcy Creek Parkway. It is only about a mile long and goes from I-35 north with no houses or buildings at all, just lined on both sides and a median with sweetgum trees. I love to walk its length and back again this time of year.
