Harsh reality
If you keep doing your job and let your boss take the credit how will you gain? No one works for charity. Beyond a point, you cant motivate employees unless they are suitably rewarded for their efforts. The problem starts when your boss ignores your good work and exploits your innocence. There is no place for innocence at the workplace. You have to assert yourself to get your due or else you get peanuts in exchange !
Remember what a wisecrack once said: "You must get what you like or you will be forced to like what you get".
