Thank you. That's a good way to look at it because ultimately, planting a few seeds of food for thought is all I am trying to accomplish.

More interesting thoughts to ponder upon.
I love the way you set up a challenge for anyone who pops in for a read.

Xeno-x - ultimately that is the failing point of insisting that all persons
are sinners.
The question always remains the same: Sinners in who's eyes?
Sin, just as what is considered a crime, is primarily defined by prevailing social norms and evolves over time. Outside of a few henious crimes, which are universally taboo as a means of addressing our need to survive as a species, so called sins quickly fall into the categories of social expectations and religious beliefs.
I have to laugh when someone comes up with a list of sins that will send us straight to hell. My favorite of all time was talking on my cell phone while driving. But of course that was offered by the MENSA member while he was telling us what was wrong with "Darwin's Big Bang Theory".

sin is in the eye of the beholder
like drinking alcohol.
I have been musing on this lately.
Beer is one of the earliest inventions of Civilization -- about 17,000 years ago. It and subsequently other alcoholic beverages have been mainstays of societies ever since. Israelites imbibed them. Wine is an integral part of Holy ceremonies in the Jewish religion -- and let's not forget Eucharistic wine of various strengths. The Pilgrims landed on Plymouth
Rock because they had run out of beer (beer was a staple then, used for sustenance because of its lack of spoilage like other foods).
And somewhere in the past couple hundred years (a mole on a fly's nose in the great timeline) someone thought it a sin to imbibe.
It's a made up sin, like so many others. Humans make sin where there is no sin.
