If he's right - in that voters choose their candidates for subconscious reasons, that's a little disturbing. But he's probably not far off the mark.

Not News, As I Recall
Hillary had said she wasn't interested. Her supporters were. But Bill is right; most people don't base votes on rational conclusions. Most go with gut feelings and long-held prejudices, the most common being party affiliation, which accounts for about 80% of most voters. All the fighting is over that small group that decides based on other prejudices.
