Or... not to minimize what "did not happen" to Bezhinda... one have just had a baby and she is peacefully sleeping in the next room while one is standing by the bathroom mirror trying to curl one's long and lush eye lashes with one of those infernal eyelash curlers that look like sisors...when the baby screams and you jerk your hand and (ouch) rip all your eye lashes off. Thankfully I was 18 and my eyelashes did return but I had to go for a while without them loll I could have use a personal eye lash specialist loll, not that I could have afforded one loll. Thanks... I had forgotten that and I just had a good laugh remembering it Great post.

maybe, it's not pampering, but fulfilling a need.
Say, you move into a new rental house and cannot figure out how to use the huge stove, the size of a small truck, all chromed and Cadillac and 1940s, beautiful.
You turn a handle and nothing happens and so you open the door of the huge oven and put your match in there, moving it towards the bottom where the gas burners must be on the broiler and boom, you get blown backwards.
No front bangs, no eyebrows, no eyelashes and a really red face for days.
The hair and eyebrows sort of return, but not the lashes....
Just an example....NOT that it ever happened to me. ; )

Actually, I don't really like people "touching" me all over to "correct" this and "add" that. So, I guess I will have to continue going around with my bushy hair, my short but dense eyelashes, etc. LOL

This unseemly craze his also hit our tiny shores my friend!
