Naut,
I don't know--it seems to invite me back time and again, just to gawk, and maybe to dig up a few dinosaurs...

Ciel
Amazing formations, as are the many shades of red and brown. Very beautiful, but stark - it's not an inviting lanscape, but one that wants to be conquered...

What a grand place.  I'll never forget my last trip through Wyoming with my son, then 18, who passed away at age 22.  We spent some time messing around in the upper Green River Lakes area in the Wind River Mountains.

Thanks, food4thought!
Zion is a truly remarkable place that I mean to return to for at least a week, and explore more thoroughly.  The one time I was there, it was only for half a day, on the way to Bryce.

Ceil - did you get the photo I sent by email?  I don't have time right now to try to figure out how to post successfully here - but sometime in the future????  Canyonlands in Utah look like your pics.  Gorgeous, as usual.  And, again, thanks for my FRIENDS PHOTOS gift.  I loved them!!  Mal

Great photos...
We went through Zion Park and I was very intrigued by the rock formations there.  These look fantastic as well!
