We would be foolish to think, that something which has never once occurred in the history of mankind, in the world being completely at peace is in fact possible. We must however always strive for this even if it is unattainable, simply because the closer we get ot it, the better off we all are.

I think what you mention in teaching our children is the only answer and realisticly the only effective thing that private citizens can do. But what do far too many people teach their kids? . . . Scientists are evil, their is only one true path to heaven, all homosexuals are sinners, all other religions are false religions and that the one true word of God is scribbled into a book using Edwardian era English. . . . face it, we're doomed as a species.

It is a LONG long way off.

In order for that to happen, all forms of discrimination would have to end...and that is NOT going to happen in the near future, but only by the majority of the population to become accepting, and teach their children the same....then maybe another 80 generations down the line....
