I'm sorry, but my favorite quote is still, "All generalities are false." Please enlighten me about which tracks I have missed. I'm pretty good at research. I'll check every topic.

Illegal aliens here too, and in France, England,Australia, and mostly because original citizens of these countries don't want the menial jobs at low pay anymore. More than that, it's fueled by corporate greed and search for profits, profits, profits, at the expense of nations. I can't believe that the U.S. government bailed out corporations where the CEO's walked away with millions of dollars in bonuses and salaries that tax payers in the U.S. will have to pay back. Corruption and horror everywhere Justi.

I think that the definition of citizenship is: one born in that country... If they are born here , like it or not, they are US citizens... Actually we are all, in one way or another, descendents of inmigrants...aren't we? unless Justi, we are native Americans... are you? I don't think the majority of us here are ...with the possible exception of sweet Wigopa and her Dad... If she were the one talking here I could understand, but all of the rest of us , we are descendents of Irish, English, Italian, ...Spaniards...French... you get the idea... wether they came in the May flower , 200 years or 2 weeks ago, we all have a grandparent born else where... that inmigrated to theUS. So the problem is not to discriminate against the kids and reject them, but not to let the parents in, to stop the illegal inmigration at our door and to punish those like Corbin factory owners that give them jobs. But once they are here and working and procreating... I hate to tell you Justi, their children are as American as apple pie. and to single them out is bigotry... So yes! lets find a solution to our borders, stop providing jobs for them and find a way to solve our problems without blaming them for all that ails us. Good thought provoking post.

From you comments on here most of the time you don't understand much of anything. I don't mean to be ugly but you are off track about 90% of the time.

I would have thought you would prefer ovarian fortitude is all. And to say a man who gave up a lucrative legal career to help local communities is just out for himself? And I suppose McCain ditching his cancer-fighting wife for a rich socialite was altruistic? Sometimes I just don't understand logic.

This is not only happening in the USA
In South Africa "refugees" from other African countries are getting jobs whilst millions of locals are already jobless. Many locals are already "forced" to make a living from crime and they are now joined by foreigners competing for the same jobs. With minimum wages for labor and the accompanying paperwork involved enforced by government many people who would have otherwise employed people for unskilled od jobs are also no longer doing so. This spiral is getting out of control and the whole country suffers accordingly. If this kind of thing is a worldwide trend in countries that used to be fairly well off we are not in for a comfortable ride into the future.

The beauty of a democracy is the freedom to write to your Gov.
and make your views known. Tough times are here to stay I think darling.

Obama is not for anything except for him. John McCain must take another look! I think you can answer the first question for yourself if not ask a friend.

A child born in America of illegal aliens should not be an American Citizen. Amen. Considering that I myself was born to legal aliens who became US citizens, citizenship should not be granted to all children born on US soil irrespective of the parents' foreign citizenship. If and when the parents become naturalized citizens, only then should they become US citizens as well. Why is that so difficult to apply?

Fortitude?
And what have your testicles got to do with it?
John McCain dropped like a rock last summer in polls because he supported a partial amnesty program for illegal aliens. Barrack Obama supports improved border security and placing the illegals at the back of the line toward citizenship. Either way, it will be a long battle before the problem is solved.

My point exactly, Justi
It is the wealthy and the corporate control - Tyson one of many examples - that seeks cheap labor to the point of destroying the living standards, communities of work-able, work-worthy Americans. I was referring to menial jobs in restaurants, hotels, home improvement services, where the employer hires aliens to cut his costs and boost his profits to the detriment of the system - these industries are adversely affected by the losses of the working class, who, once upon a time, could afford to eat out frequently, take vacations yearly, fix up their homes.

Thank you for your comment. In our area they are not working for the wealthy. A town of 6,000 was literally taken over by 11,000 Mexicans and they are working the manufacturing jobs, feed and poultry jobs anything available they filled it. There was no shortage of poor men who worked them and are still willing and looking for work where none if available. Tyson chicken is paying this city to look the other way on crime, prostitution and all sorts of things to provide them workers for little. I know how this goes here.

The top wealthy/corporate raiders are in control regardless
of which party they invite to blindfold the masses. I agree the influx of aliens must be dealt with, but looks like that is happening or will be soon - Americans don't have much money anymore for eating out, vacationing, remodeling their homes, etc. which provide the menial labor jobs - granted, they get too much public assistance, thanks to big business government keeping employers freed from paying real cost of living wages.
