I read your story, LOL. I knew we had it pretty good, despite the relative darkness. We couldn't just shower, we could hot shower. My wife got two and half days off work, too, which is great for a salaried position. We could have made a week, easy, before we really got tired of it. Then, what with hand-washing clothes and all, we would have been, well, distressed.
Hope you finally got that shower. (Scent mode is off on my PC.)
