It is the facet that troubles him the most, Straightforward, that good is not good and that bad is not bad and that mediocre seems to be best.
America holds up and finds admirable the quality of 'just barely good enough' to do Whatever.
He is not trying to convert anyone or give his point of view to sway anyone, he is just telling everyone what has been going around and around in his mind, bothering him about America nowadays.
Just one facet of American culture. Thanks for reading and for writing a comment.
