How can we grow?

If we deny and refuse to accept the truth, how will we get better?

How can we grow?

We all have problems. Strangely, the average person believes his/her problem is the greatest.

When we begin to realize that our problems are small compared to our neighbour’s, then that consciousness will equip and energize us to deal with ours which previous seemed insurmountable.

Good post...

Yes!
Self acceptance, self forgiveness, self therapy, self improvement... it all comes to me fixing me by my own efforts.

In the long run, if we don't solve problems, they remain problems!  So you are right.

I didn’t know you were back!  How nice to see you and the photos were wonderful – everyone happy, well, and thriving.  As far as problems go, there’s no avoiding them (as much as we try).  And you’re right…no one can solve them for us.  We have to roll up our sleeves and do the dirty work ourselves.

I do try to aim for finding the positive even in the negative.  Focusing on a problem and not doing something to change it only causes it to drag out.

You left out one... Panic!

Funny things in the air again--I just wrote a small post on this topic, too, on how people deal with stress.

You've made some excellent points in this post, Symphony!  I believe that each of us has parts that respond to emergencies and problems in all these ways--and whichever one is weightiest in the balance, prevails in any particular situation.
