Mercy and Hell
How are the concepts of God's mercy and the existence of Hell compatible? I mean, casting His creations into endless suffering? Sounds more like cruelty and pettiness.
Religion has, for the most part, declared marriage to be a business transaction, with the husband owning the wife. In a society where women have economic options, it is hardly surprising that divorce is common. Once religious men begin to accept women as people, society will become less violent and more stable.

I liked your thoughts. There has always been a provision for getting out of a bad situation. It is contained in the Pentateuch of the Old Testament in the Holy Bible. sam
