RITE2SPIN - anything preposterous, ludicrous or unbelieveable that has been

concocted into a religious belief.

You can take your pick of which stories fit that description. Virgin birth, resurrection, the parting of the Red Sea, Noah's wooden aircraft carrier, the Garden of Eden . . .

I stop a little shy of putting it that way but do share the sentiment to some degree. I feel that the there is an important distinction between religion and personal beliefs.

A Misquote
When I was a child, I spake as a child, but when I became a man, I put off childish things.  Like religion.

I never try to 'sell' what I believe because they'd lock me up and throw away the key, but no matter. Mostly I don't discuss it because if Kabu finds out it's me in the fridge turning the light out it will frighten her.-;)

The only true answer that I have is to state that every time in my life I
have ever said,"I could /would never do that.' I ended up doing that thing. All of life is a learning curve and of course that includes the individuals faith. (We do all believe in something even if it's only that a little man lives in the refrigerator and he turns out the light when we close the door.)
