Re:

Not sure what you mean by 'yet another "Spirit-quenching" rector. I totally agree that 'coincidences' and 'miracles' are meant to be and are commonplace. Perhaps we have different ideas of God. I believe in a God within all human beings, like a kind of potential within me and you and everyone else. Maybe the only difference is that I call that 'God'. Perhaps you call it something different?

Don't you think 'Rocking Rectums' is unnecessarily offensive?

You sound like yet another "Spirit-quenching" Rector.  As we walk in the Spirit, "coincidences" and "miracles" are meant to be and are common place.  As my friend Dan from Cal Tech and the Anaheim, CA Vineyard says, "Ho hum, another miracle."  If I sound sour it is because I am.  After a lifetime of listening to "Rocking Rectums" I'll stick with AA's "group-conscience-led" spirituality and my own ample storehouse of songs, and hymns, and spiritual songs.  I love Jesus and I even love Priests.  I just think "we're" fools to follow you blind.  Sure, God does at times work in mysterious ways, but more often than not I think we're simply asleep at the wheel.

It's the same with doctors and all authorities

to whom we give seniority over our own judgment, or to whom we go when we need their help and support.

I also believe that the Universe by any name does help us get to what we need.

yes, He does
Even more wonderful when opportunities for forgiveness are opened whether it be to a single person or a general forgiveness to all who fall within the catagory of the one we felt the hurt.  A nice mantra I read in 'Our Immortal Reality" by Gary Rennaurd:  "You or (I) am a spirit of innocence and love; all is forgiven and all is released."
