I used to be hooked on the various MSN chat rooms (I'm not even sure if they still exist) but, as you said, I made all kinds of friends from all around the world and hours would fly by before you knew it. Years back there was a feature whereby you could even create you own chatroom and I/we would log on and create a "Canada 40+" room and just sit back and wait for so many different kinds of people to visit. It was a plenty of fun and one guy from the UK even came to Canada to visit us (though that's always a risky thing. In my case it turned out fine but I don't recommend it). How nice that you've made a new friend. The age of computers has certainly made the world a little bit smaller....
