mysteria - "Assuming a liberty upon others" is my paraphrased version of
this sentiment, which I think endorses your point.
I happen to fully agree with that. Enveloped within a host of other things that "they" do, including the fact that they got away with such behaviour for so long, I do not believe their crass lack of consideration to be anything but a complete lack of awareness. If they cannot follow the simplest of human rights concepts right from the supposed lips of their own messiah, I am always left in a quandary as to why they are so proud of beng members?

When people assume this liberty upon me
I find their statements strike me much the same way as someone blurting out or endorsing any controversial issue. And I find myself subduing my surprise at their outburst out of respect (social conditioning). Quickly after my feet do the talking.... I really can't tolerate it... it's odd, I immediately become physically repulsed and by reflex evacuate the area much the same way I would over a personal affront or violent eruption of some sort...
