Any concept needs the "background" of everything that is not that which the particular concept points at. This may be a polar opposite or not. Conceptualizing is a function of the intellect and such all splits, categorizations, clarifications etc are set up by the intellect, which itself is a function of your own mind. Therefore it can be said that all splits are set up by the intellect.
