Yup... you sweep it up one day and 3 days later it's back. But you're right, it never piles up beyond descreet lines or innocent dust bunnies never turn into tigers. Umm....

ummmmmm
Lets say that line of dirt its not really dirt...but tinny little aliens that have come to Earth in peace and have colonized your rug.
Lets imagine the reason they are only seen by the knotted edges is that it is in those knots that their homes were built, deep in the recesses of those threads...and they congregate in fromt of their dwellings as we humans do to talk about life, love and the pursuit of happiness...
They also talk... the little aliens... about the horrible monster that sweeps them away to their doom once a month.
They fear him and adore him for he has become their god... with the power of life and death over them... They have even built little temples to exalt his memory. In their altars there is a kind faced man yielding a broom... and they kneel to it and say... "Oh powerful broom yielding, dust hating man... in this vaste universe...can you let us be? " All that could be true...or not...your dust might be just dust... sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...but i like my story better :-)
Oh broom yielding lord! loll Great post!!!!
