Friend of mine had a saying, when she'd said something really stupid,
OMG, if I had a brain I'd be dangerous. The way politics blows these days, we should maybe thank our lucky stars they're not that analytically proficient. Think of the damage they could do if they only had a brain.... heh heh heh...

So...
...I guess shameless pandering to religion isn't just an American political tactic?

Only that the American candidates are much more crass about it.
At least Stephane Dion was honest about it...or was it a Freudian Slip?

If the same question was posed to an American candidate, the equivocating and back-pedaling would be utterly shameful and embarrassing.
Take care, Naut.

The world of politics would be a lot easier to stomach
if the politicians would stop listening to their scheming handlers, and start speaking their minds. Assuming, of course, that they have the capacity to form their own opinion...in some cases, I kind of doubt it...!

Ha ha -- I'm impressed he was so honest!
And yes, good thing he did not get his location mixed up. Hope his next news event is not the Canadian equiv of the ACLU where he might be penalized for mixing politics and religion!
