- Go to And in Italy - Heavens Rumble over Nun Pageant...
Yeah, i'm w/ Sam on this. It's a far cry from the works of M. Theresa.
And for all of her insecurities over her salvation and such (which came to light after her death), I think on the Catholic point system for salvation Mother Theresa had a better chance of getting to heaven than the nuns posing for the calendar. That said, I doubt that's what the priest has in mind . . . .
Perhaps there are too many nuns over in Italy? Do they all need to get a 'real' job????

Did you ever see the movie, "Sister Act"? I just loved the nuns in that. They were so cute and funny. I would watch it again just to see Kathy Najimy do the "Mashed Potatoes" in her habit. HAHAHAHA

I like nuns. Some of 'em are tough broads who can coach a 5th grade
baseball team with the best of 'em. Back when teaching nuns still wore the habits we lived at the end of the block near St. Mary's school, and it was not unusual to see one of them take a turn at bat and crack one over the outfielder's head, run the bases, tennis shoes zipping along under the sedate long skirt... But beauty contests? Kind of shallow and secular and opposite the point of being a nun. On the other hand, nobody asked me...

I think you should hold off judgement.........
until we've had a chance to see the talent competition.........I understand Sister Bernadette from Montreal whacks out a mean Hallelujah chorus with a ruler on dozens of young knuckles!
