Go to Living under open heaven

- Go to truths and whispers
I practice silent worship and I am tune with this thought of yours! I have reminded folks to listen to everything around them for we know not how or when He will reveal a truth or His will through a whisper. sam

Absolutely my friend, which is why we need those silent moments
in order to listen and hear; many blessings and thanks

exactly! that's why it's so important to know the truth before we want to get to know the secrets

I like your response to the question in the comments. I think God speaks to
us primarily through His Word...if what we hear goes contrary to that, it may be another spirit.

well - He "speaks" in so many different ways. sometimes it's a sudden thought that just seem to appear out of no-where in your mind (and here - to be able to know if it's a thought from Him you need to know the Scriptures, because it has to be in line with the principles in there); sometimes you ask Him a question and the answer comes to you through other people or circumstances, sometimes when you read the Bible one verse just "jumps" out - it's all means of God catching your attention. And it all comes down to just spending time and focusing your thoughts on Jesus, meditating upon Him and what He did for you when He died on the cross, meditating on how much He loves you... when that gets deep into your heart you get closer to being able to hear the whispers.

No. Unfortunately I try and I try but I don't "hear" God. Sometimes I hea
what sounds like a human voice in the thunder, but I can't make out what it's saying. If you could help me with this (remember I have to distinguish it from other voices and sounds), I would be soooo indebted to you.
