Wow, such a tough topic to approach. Man vs. Beast.

Who shall survive? You did this quite eloguently.

Who deserves to survive? If you think about it, some

beasts mate for life? They are fiercious, will kill a human

on site, yet they love eternally. Man, who skips from mate

to mate, may profess to be Christian, vegetarian, anti-war,

anti-abortion, will kill a deer, rabbit, go hunting for fun.

I have to stop before I break into a poem myself.

Cheer up...love thyself first and life is worth living.

Very interesting, Kayzzaman.  But, I'm afraid that I don't agree that it is up to humans to decide if we should be wiped off of the face of the earth.  I think that we need to keep trying until if and when God decides it's enough.

This is a topic that I believe most of us have pondered
how intelligent are we really as a species?

The ideas posited here are indeed high and lofty things to consider, but perhaps you could try to work on your grammar a bit. It was a little difficult to decipher what you were saying in some parts.

Stimulating article.  There is a saying that nature is unfinished and that man must complete it.  I think it is only when we rise above our self and take others wants, needs and beliefs into consideration that we begin to transcend our animal natures.  Even here there are tribes of other primates living well organized and stable lives, but none of them have the capacity to care for all of nature and all her creatures that we as humans have.  They can't see the Big Picture that we can (I sometimes wonder if many humans can actually either).  We can truly transcend the barriers of the flesh and become internally civilized, and externally more inclusive, if we try hard enough.
