write a letter and wait one day then think about sending it
then wait another day....I dunno...it's tough in the trenches sometimes...What I am suggesting with my sort of lame advice is to do like you did here and write out your thoughts
The ones you have first thing in the morning are really revealing
Once you get your thoughts out, they become orderly and easier to manage
They catagorize themselves in a logic/smart order of importance I notice
I was a civil servant for 20 years out of college and when things like this happened all you had to do was follow the chain of command and start the bureaucratic ball rolling. In this situation I would have a strong case on this colleague as someone who cultivated a "hostile" work environment. Which is totally accurate. Things are much different in the private sector I realize. I also realize I haven't been very helpful, no?
