i'm not a beleiver either (i used to be}
But i always try to keep an open mind because i could be wrong. You could ask the smartest and wisest people who have ever lived and there would be disagreement; so what makes me think i'm right for certain. Actually, when i was in my early 20's i was a born again Christian, true true believer; long traumatic story. i've never heard anyone say, "Life after death is next to impossible". You didn't really give any evidence for that. i agree with Luz, there are scientists that are stong believers in God.

I hope there is a heaven and that I will be there, if not - it won't really matter as I would not be, and therefor not care...
But I want to live my life to the fullest and find it comforting to think that this is not the end of the line.
Whatever works for you is the best

perception is reality
but reality isn't always the truth. i know what you mean, though i'd venture to disagree with one point. people who think scientifcally, and people who think spiritually, are not direct opposites. i know many who combine the two forms of thinking.
