I think it's kind of sad

That people are so desperate for a sign, they've taken to praying over things like this.

And LOL at Ciel's comment--I bet it was the babysitter!

I was drinking a can of coke and when I spilled some on the floor..... lol I cannot believe the images that people see and then pray  to them. Oh my, it is just strange!  Shelly

Naut
Darned if those images keep comin' up everywhere.  What was it - a piece of food - that sold on ebay for millions or some such ridiculous amount?  Get a grip people!

Naut- Thanks for the tidbit
There's a movie coming out soon about this kind of thing - a depressed guy finds an image of the Virgin on his stucco house and can't clean it off.  It becomes a shrine.  Not sure about the plot, but it looks good.  We don't have these kind of things in my religion, but I've sure found many Stars of David on old churches!  What does that mean, besides the fact that many were old synagogues? What Taps said... I wouldn't tell a soul.
BTW to Auslander -- skunks live quite happily almost everywhere in the U.S. We had frequent hints about them when we lived in the Cascade foothills of Washington state, and there's one who regularly tunnels under my fence, sips from my backyard pond and waddles off across Quiet Street on his sojourns.  I kinda like the little critters.

Doesn't that remind you of the LIfe of Brian by the Mounty Python? Anyway, I think the hotel is a good idea; to boost the local economy, you know. By the way, we knew we were back in Canada when you got our first snif of skunk on the way home! Only place (N.Am.) on Earth with that beast. Ah...Home sweet "smelly" home.

I'm just wondering how they know it's the Virgin Mary.
Mary dressed pretty much like all women of her time and locale, I imagine, and we certainly don't have a record of her looks.  How do they know it isn't Mary's neighbor, or the babysitter?

Nautikos, If I ever notice a Virgin Mary on anything in my house or on my property, I'm never going to tell a soul (except for maybe Blogit members, LOL).  I couldn't stand to be invaded by neighbors, pilgrims, media, crazy people, perverts and whatever.  I'd have to move out and go to a hotel myself.
