jollyjeff - that's the unavoidable truth, people will believe what they

want to believe.

"Irreducible complexity" is one such example we see re-surface from time to time. I don't know if it is merely that the words sounding intelligent gives it the appeal that it has but this mostly discredited notion held as an opinion by one guy, has legions of supporters outside of science. Most of them not really comprehending what they are talking about.

It reminds me of the baseball fans who insist that Barry Bonds didn't use steroids, when the evidence that he did is overwhelming. People believe what they want to believe
