I was apprehensive about sending my daughter to camp when she was young - she is profoundly hearing impaired and wears hearing aids (expensive hearing aids which I naturally pictured both of them floating in the lake). I was also concerned that she would get lost in the shuffle as she lip reads. Anyway, I talked to the camp counselors and they were so understanding and went out of their way to ensure my daughter camping experience was a good one. And, yes, I used the 2 weeks to recharge my batteries. Go for it...
