Welcome to Blogit, Rector!

This is a terrific idea for a blog, and a most refreshing one in this category which is so full of philosophers and evangelists and anti-evangelists...  I have one of those myself, the philosophical sort.

This reminds me of a book I read years ago by George MacDonald, known for his high fantasies, I believe, but in the late 1800s he wrote A QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD, a simple and affectionate account of a minister's life in a country parish.  No blood and glory, no deep conflict, just a story of life.

I'll be following this blog with interest!

Oh, and yes, you write with an engaging style!
