Great writing, gapcohen. Loved it because I know men like that. LOL.
And, often it's not just the men who remain young in their heads. It's still a shock to me when I look in the mirror, because I'm much younger at heart.

Being a man, I understand your husband's defiance of Father Time!
Men shrug off physical pain, to the point that we don't recall how an injury occurred because we didn't even notice it when it happened. If Marilyn were to drop a Q-tip on her foot, I would hear, "OUCH! Son of a BLEEP!" If she bumps her elbow, she screams "YOU BLEEPER!" I always duck, wondering what I did. If I dropped a running chainsaw on my foot, cutting it off above the knee, she would ask me why I am limping! I haven't visited a doctor's office since 1991 and she goes at least twice a week! I just know that I have never cried over a hangnail. Marilyn tells me that I don't really know what REAL pain is. She must be right.
This is an inspired posting and I am sure that all who read it, enjoyed it. Thank you Mrs. Cohen, you are a great writer.

This was a great read. I loved every word and laugh all the way through at your poor husband. You are a very patient woman and obviously love Jeff very much. Beautifully written.
