Religion, ideology, politics, economics, etc are all vehicles that can be abused for the perceived gratification of base human desires by emotionally blind people. I do think that people who do not share the same view should engage each other in conversation and definitely not in war. "Unity in diversity" is a nice sounding slogan but "unity in direction gives power" is more practical.
