We can't have peace without first, freedom.
Thank you for a great poem.  Proud

Really like this one, how it pushed out from it seams, with a kind of punctualrity--with the "as if" being real. (But that is always your intention, mais no?). Sometimes I get confused with everyone's intentions, including my own, so I can't always point into myself--which is why I liked this poem--so there!

Your heart's yearning is urging ur mind to move forward while your spirit..
watches the inner battle lovingly..we all experience this, but can recognize & relate to it only when we get in touch with our spirit..you already are, my dear friend Marion, follow your intuition slowly..a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step..soo pleased to feel the emotions you so well-express, write on :)! - Ash

And we're glad to have you back, Marion.

When I first read this, I thought it was about the freedom of the soul...yet, when I read it again, I wasn't sure if the soul wanted to be free really.  The first reading made me believe that this was a purely happy poem that was lost in a happy thought, with that subtle smile of a "maybe someday" towards the end...The poem took on a whole new light the second time around, and I thought, rather than pure happiness, I felt myself locked in an illusion that I wasn't sure if I wanted to be away from or not by the end...just like facing the music or facing reality...who REALLY wants to do that?  I'm sure my observations is all wrong, but this is what I got out of your poetry, and I thought it was absolutely beautiful.
